Our Story

You stare down at that diamond – the product of billions of years of unrelenting heat and pressure, what ancient Greeks believed to be the actual tears from the gods – and you ask yourself,

'Is that cream cheese or lotion? I hope it's lotion.'

The year was 2016 and I was a new mom living in New York City. In the wee hours of the morning (that magical time we find to deal with all things random and annoying) I had lost my beloved diamond engagement ring down the garbage disposal in our kitchen.

Moments earlier I had been trying to excavate, once and for all, a glob of diaper cream that had been stuck under my diamond for weeks and that my ultrasonic bath kept leaving behind. While brushing back and forth with an old toothbrush, my soapy rings slipped through my grasp and, as my stomach cartwheeled into my throat, I watched — and listened — as one of my most cherished possessions clinked out of sight.

There are moments in life when that little voice in your head whispers, "Ef this.” This was one of them. It was also in this moment when I knew there had to be a better way to clean real-life dirty diamonds at home without risking their safety or sacrificing an hour of your day.

In the years that followed, I dedicated every extra dime and minute to finding and perfecting this solution. The result is juli. Try her once and find out why juli really is your diamond’s best friend.
